Can You Use a Co-Working Space Just for One Day?
The work culture had slowly but surely started becoming more lenient, relaxed, and flexible over the last two decades. 2020 changed the entire outlook of it all at once by bringing the unfortunate “covid-19” pandemic to the world, forcing people to either quit, shut down businesses or work from home. Even though the former two situations were unfortunate, the latter ensured that every business (that possibly could) started to offer the option of work from home which was deemed beneficial not only for the employees but for the employer as well. Employees and staff saved travel time and money, which is why they could manage to focus on other areas of growth, be it related to their household chores, fitness, or even traveling to experience different cultures. Employers on the other hand saved real estate costs, maintenance and electricity bills, and much more, which is why a large number of firms turned to the option of working from home for good.
Of course, all of this wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for today’s superior technology that allowed colleagues and bosses to coordinate and communicate efficiently. Group video calls, work-related tracking devices, and more allowed business owners to heave a sigh of relief, since all of it ensured that employees were working diligently even while working remotely.
Co-working was introduced in the late 90s and started gaining popularity only in the past decade. Even though the 2020 pandemic slowed things down for co-working spaces as well since most governments prohibited their citizens from stepping out for anything but urgent needs, it was only a temporary situation. In fact, one could safely say that the 2020 pandemic highly benefitted the co working industry.
Since a number of firms have stuck to the concept of working from home, even though government restrictions have been lifted after the vaccine for the virus came out, a lot of individuals have been working out of different places every day. Considering the fact that co working spaces illuminate vibrancy and still have the advantage of being a work environment, most professionals working remotely choose to work out of co-working spaces, instead of working at a cafeteria which could be quite disturbing.
A form of working like no other, co-working screams flexibility. One is welcome to hop in at any time during the day, or night; plus the flexible terms that they offer are incomparable to that of any traditional office environment.
Hot Desks/ Flexible Desks
Hot desks come with terms that allow independent professionals to rent a desk by the hour or by the day. That’s because, while taking into consideration the fact that most young professionals these days enjoy traveling quite a bit, these spaces need to have an option for people to hop in just for a day or for a couple of hours, depending on the amount of work they may have on that day. A number of people (especially millennials and centennials) prefer carrying their work along with them while traveling the world. The concept of “work and travel” is gaining quite a bit of popularity these days, and co working spaces make for the perfect work environment to host such independent professionals.
Meeting and Conference Rooms
Apart from offering hot desks for the day, a number of co working spaces are home to well set-up and professional meeting and conference rooms as well, which people can rent by the hour. This is advantageous in situations when a business owner needs a place to put forward a deal with a client who lives in another city which the former may have to travel to, or if his/ her own office space may be undergoing some kind of renovation. These conference and meeting rooms also come in handy for professional gatherings and for plenty of other reasons, and the fact that they can be rented by the hour helps customers save a lot of money.
Co-working spaces can therefore most certainly be used for just a day if that’s what an individual needs, but they can also be rented for a whole month or more, depending on the requirement of its clients.
